Chicken and Sausage Penne Jambalaya

A 30-minute Chicken and Sausage Penne Jambalaya with Italian sausage and chicken is my delicious take on a classic recipe! 

– 6 ounce chicken breast  – ½ teaspoon chili powder – ½ teaspoon salt – ½ teaspoon pepper – 1 tablespoon olive oil – 2 links Italian sausage  – 1 small onion – ½ medium bell pepper  – 3 cloves garlic – 28 ounces diced tomatoe – 1 cup chicken broth  – 8 ounces penne – 1 tablespoon hot sauce – 2 green onion – 4 sprigs cilantro



Add salt, pepper, and chilli powder to the chicken to season it. Warm up the olive oil in a big frying pan.

When the sausage and chicken begin to brown, add them to the skillet and cook for an additional six minutes.

When the onion is transparent, add the bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook for another two minutes.

Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Stir in diced tomatoes, chicken broth, penne, and hot sauce in the skillet.

Always ordered it out because I thought it would be hard to make, but I was wrong!

Stir occasionally for 15 minutes until penne is al dente. Add cilantro and green onions.
