Grinch Cookies recipe

The grinch cookies are green sugar cookies with chopped andes mints. Rolling in green sugar and topping with a large heart sprinkle.

Ingredient

– 1 ⅓ cups All-purpose flour – ¼ teaspoon Baking soda – ¼ teaspoon Baking powder – ½ teaspoon Salt – ½ cup Unsalted butter melted and cooled – ¾ cup White granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract – 1 Large egg room temperature – Green gel food dye a couple drops. I used Americolor. – Green sugar for rolling the cookie – 17 Andes mints chopped – 16 Jumbo heart sprinkle

Direction

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in a medium basin. Set aside.Large bowl. Stir together melted butter (cool to room temperature), sugar, vanilla, egg, and a few drops of green food coloring.

Whisk until the mixture is smooth.The dry ingredients should be stirred in with a rubber spatula until they are just barely combined.

Preheat oven to 350°F and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment. Preheat the oven while the dough rests. This limits overgrowth. Chop Andes mints while waiting.

Scoop dough with a little 1 tablespoon cookie scoop. With your thumb, make a hole in the cookie dough ball in the scoop. Cover with chopped mints and cookie dough. Use scooped dough to coat the cookie.

Cover 12 cookie dough balls with green sugar and set on the cookie sheet.Bake 8-10 minutes. Sprinkle heart when heated. Cool it fully on a wire rack.
