Molten Chocolate Mug Cake Recipe

Chocolate Molten Mug Cake. Bake these simple chocolate mug cakes without baking expertise. This deep-dish cake in a cup requires one coffee mug, pantry materials, and little effort. Vanilla and melted chocolate make every bite delicious. Eat ice cream with this microwaved personal-sized cake. 

Ingredient

– 3 tablespoons coconut oil (or olive oil/canola oil) – 1 egg, at room temperature – 3 tablespoons milk – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – 2-4 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or granulated sugar – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/4 teaspoon baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt – 1 tablespoon brewed coffee – 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate chunks, very roughly chopped

Melt coconut oil in a microwave-safe 10-12 ounce mug. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and honey and mix.

Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until mixed. Place coffee in the batter's centre and gently stir.

Avoid entirely incorporating coffee. Put chocolate bits in the batter's centre.

Full-power microwave for 1 minute 45 seconds to 2 minutes (I always do 2 minutes).
