Old Fashioned Candied Sweet Potatoes With Orange Juice

3 pounds sweet potatoes 6 tablespoons unsalted butter ¾ cup dark brown sugar 2 tablespoon maple syrup ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon kosher salt ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg ½ teaspoon ground ginger 2 teaspoon orange zest 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon orange juice olive oil



Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 9- or 8-inch pan or 2-quart baking dish with olive oil or butter.

Whisk brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, orange juice, zest, vanilla, maple, and ginger in a small bowl.
