One Pot Cheesy Taco Orzo

This One Pot Cheesy Taco Orzo is delish! Comforting one-pot meal in 30 minutes. Cheesy Taco Orzo has lots of cheese and your favourite taco toppings. Eat a big bowl of cheesy goodness!  

– 1 pound ground beef – 1 small onion – 3 cloves garlic – 1 red bell pepper – 2 cups orzo – 2 cups taco skillet sauce – 2½ cups chicken broth – ½ teaspoon salt  – ¼ teaspoon pepper – 1 tablespoon hot sauce – 1 cup cheese – tomatoe – olives  – green onion – fresh cilantro

Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up, until no longer pink.

Cook the chopped onion and garlic in the skillet for a minute before adding the chopped bell pepper.

Mix everything and cook for 3 minutes until the onion is translucent and the pepper is tender.

Season with salt and pepper, then add the hot sauce to the taco skillet sauce and chicken broth.

Stirring occasionally, cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until all of the liquid has been absorbed.

After adding the cheese, turn off the heat. As an alternative, you could sprinkle cheese on top and then cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.

Before serving, garnish with tomatoes, olives, green onions, and fresh cilantro.
