Salty Chocolate Chunk Blondies Recipe

Salty Chocolate Chunk Blondies have dark chocolate chunks and coarse salt. A tasty sweet-salty treat! 


– 1 cup whole wheat flour – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup packed light brown sugar – 1 large egg – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunk – coarse salt, to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. An 8-inch square baking pan should be greased. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together using a whisk. Put aside for later. 

Step 1


Combine the butter and brown sugar and beat until fluffy. After adding the egg and vanilla, thoroughly combine the ingredients.  

Step 2

Mix the flour mixture in a gradual manner until it is completely incorporated. Add the chocolate chunks and stir. 

Step 3

Cover the prepared pan with an even layer of batter. Salt that is coarse should be sprinkled over the batter.  

Step 4

A pick that is inserted in the centre should come out clean after being baked for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the edges have browned. 

Step 5

Wait until the pan has completely cooled before cutting it into bars.
