Sheet Pan Apple Crisp With Oats

This Sheet Pan Apple Crisp with Oats is a simple fall dessert that bakes in under 10 minutes. The crisp cinnamon oat-walnut topping covers juicy apple slices. 

– 12 apples  – ¾ cup brown sugar – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon  – 1 cup all purpose flour  – ½ cup cold butter  – 1 ½ cups old fashioned rolled oat – 1 cup chopped walnut – ⅓ cup maple syrup – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Cut apples into 8 wedges after peeling and coring. Cut cold butter finely. Measure remaining ingredients.

Start with a 350-degree oven. Grease an elevated baking sheet. You can also use a larger baking dish.

Coat apple wedges with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add ½ cup flour and mix well.

Apply the apple mixture to the sheet. In a separate bowl, mix ½ cup flour with cold butter using two knives or a pastry blender until pea-sized.

Add the oats, walnuts, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix by stirring.

The walnut muesli topping should be spooned over the apples that are on the baking sheet in an even manner.

Baking at 350°F for 45-50 minutes until fruit bubbles and topping browns. Warm crisp with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
